Add ticket types
Create the tickets buyers can choose from, like Adult and Child
Updated
Ticket types are the options buyers choose from at checkout — for example Adult, Child, VIP, or Early Bird. Each one has its own price, quantity, and sale window.
Create a ticket type
Section titled “Create a ticket type”- Open your event and go to Tickets.
- Click New ticket type.
- Fill in the Basics:
- Name — what buyers see, like “Adult”.
- Price — enter
0.00for a free ticket. - Quantity — how many are available. Leave blank for unlimited.
- Description — what buyers get with this ticket.
- Click Create ticket type.
Control when it sells
Section titled “Control when it sells”Under When it sells, set Sales open and Sales close to limit when buyers can purchase this ticket. This is how you run an early-bird ticket that disappears on a certain date.
You can also set Entry hours if the ticket should only scan at certain times of day — like an afternoon-only pass valid from 2 PM.
Limit how many per order
Section titled “Limit how many per order”Under Per order, use At least and At most to set the minimum and maximum a buyer can add to one order. For example, set At most to 4 to stop one person buying out a limited ticket.
Who can see it
Section titled “Who can see it”By default, every ticket type is public. To make a hidden ticket — for sponsors, staff, or comps — enter an Access code. Only people with the special link will see that ticket. Leave it blank to keep the ticket public.
Two other display options:
- Show how many are left — displays remaining quantity to create urgency.
- Still show when sold out — keeps the ticket visible (marked sold out) instead of hiding it.
Advanced options
Section titled “Advanced options”| Option | Use it when… |
|---|---|
| Needs another ticket | Buyers must have a certain ticket in the same order — like a parking pass that requires a general admission ticket. |
| Dynamic pricing | You want the price to change automatically. Click Add a pricing rule; rules apply top to bottom. |
| Waitlist | The ticket might sell out and you want to capture interested buyers. |
Editing a ticket type
Section titled “Editing a ticket type”Click any ticket type in the Tickets list, make your changes, and click Save changes.
